TOSIN ADEBAYO

Tosin Adebayo is Eemagin Publishers’ first signed author.
She is a passionate photographer, visual artist, and writer who finds beauty in life's simplest things.

With a deep love for nature, music, eco-friendly art, and spaces, Tosin’s work is rooted in curiosity, connection, and a belief that beauty is everywhere.

Her passion extends beyond the camera. She is deeply involved in social advocacy and awareness campaigns on a range of societal issues. She has worked with like-minded groups to speak out against Female Genital Mutilation, promote glaucoma awareness through storytelling, and champion causes that touch lives.

She has also partnered with road safety organisations in Nigeria to sensitise drivers to safe, responsible driving and the importance of protecting lives on the road.

Teaching is another important part of Tosin’s creative journey. It is at the heart of what she does. She has taught photography to people from diverse backgrounds, helping many discover and pursue their own creative journeys.

Many of her protégés are now scattered across the globe, making an impact with the skills they have acquired. Among those closest to her heart are the hearing-impaired students of the Ondo State School of the Hearing Impaired, whom she has encouraged to see and express their world through photography.

Her work with the students has also inspired other creatives across Nigeria to join her in teaching them photography and other skills, extending the impact of her work beyond the classroom.

A strong believer in buying African to grow Africa, Tosin champions African creativity and seeks to create opportunities for African talent to reach both local and global audiences.

Japa Rush is her debut book.

Tosin emigrated from Nigeria and settled in Nottingham, UK, with her family, giving her a personal connection to the migration experience explored in her book.
